For the founders of LGBT charity ShoutOut – and for their dozens of volunteers – their work comes down to a simple idea: to help LGBT young people have a better time at school than they did.
“It was founded by Eoin O’Liathán and Declan Meehan, and then Owen Murphy and Lydia Raithaill,” says the charity’s development manager Aifric Ní Chríodáin, who started volunteering with ShoutOut in 2013 when she was in college – just a year after the charity was founded.
