LGBTQ Loyalty’s Senior Advisor Nicole Douillet told TDAmeritrade that the LGBTQ100 ESG Index uses a “survey of the LGBTQ community to help determine exactly what the right metrics are.”
The newly appointed Douillet said that LGBTQ Loyalty’s survey looked at the top 500 companies which received a perfect score of 100% by the Human Rights Campaign, stirred in a little “secret sauce” and received 3,400 responses to the LGBTQ community itself who added its own slant to the firms which the community thought best represented their core values.
“The crowd influences how companies are weighted,” Douillet said. The highest rated firms are corporately driven to give its employees a sense that “they can bring their whole selves to work. They are more likely to be loyal to the company. And they do not discriminate the client base. LGBTQ dollars are not insignificant,” she said.
