How LGBTQ+ Pride Has Changed Over The Years As It Goes Virtual

As much as has changed over the course of the past 51 years since the Stonewall riots started the modern day gay rights movement, there is still much that has remains the same.

The current administration in Washington has blatantly attempted to turn back the clock on rules that define where the LGBTQ community can serve its country, adopt its children, and receive its health care. It has disrespected its transgender members in particular, as well as showing contempt for every element of LGBTQ people of color.

This video examines the history of the gay rights movement and its various incarnations through Pride parades, corporate sponsorship, merchandising, through solidarity with Black Lives Matter in the current 2020 protests against police brutality.
